Tim Cartwright ~ Worship Leader
Tim serves as our Worship Leader for our two Sunday Worship Services.
He prayerfully designs and constructs our Order of Worship for these services with the view of pleasing and honoring our Heavenly Father. He understands that we are worshipers while God Himself is the audience.
If you would like to serve the Lord through our Worship Services in some capacity, please contact Bro. Tim.
Here's Bro. Tim's story:
I was born in Kentucky and grew up in Illinois. From a baby I have always been involved in the local church. At age nine I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
I attended Eastern Illinois University and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in history. I received a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Many years later I completed teacher education at University of Illinois, Springfield.
I have taught Sunday School to all ages, sung in youth and many church choirs, participated in and led mission trips in the United States and Czech Republic, served as pastor, student minister, campus minister to college students, taught in Christian schools and was principal of one. I currently work as a VPK paraprofessional at Boggy Creek Elementary School in Kissimmee.
I believe that scripture teaches worship does not only occur on special days when believers are assembled, but it occurs each day, all day, by the way we live our lives for God. Romans 12:1-2 tells us that our spiritual act of worship is determined by our sacrificial living as we allow our minds and very way of thinking to be transformed. But God also commands believers to worship corporately to experience community, unity and the presence of God. A scripture I especially like to support the corporate act of worship is Ephesians 5:19, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord…."
